Barbering Diploma - Level 2

Starts Nov 09 - Edinburgh

This course leads to an Accredited Level 2 in Barbering that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to enter employment within a barbers' shop, hairdressing salon or self employment.

How long is the course?
12 Weeks (Mon - Fri)

What are the areas covered by the course?
You will cover the following:

• Health and safety
• Give clients a positive impression
• Advise and consult with clients
• Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp
• Cut facial hair to shape
• Cut hair using barbering techniques
• Dry hair into shape
• Change hair colour
• Provide scalp massage

Introductory Hair Courses:

1: Long hair styling and dressing techniques.

Long hair styling and dressing techniques are a useful addition to any Stylist's or Therapists portfolio of skills.

With more and more customers visiting Salons to have their hair styled for that special occasion, you don't want to miss out on that extra business. A selection of long hair looks will be demonstrated in the morning and in the afternoon you will have the opportunity to work hands on with tutor support. A model will be required for the practical session.
